Virtue ethics
- Virtue ethics is an approach to ethics that consideres virtue as the adherent of moral value. Virtues are not everyday habits, but are character traits or motives, in the sense that they are central to someones personality.
- A virtue is a trait or motive that is deemed to be morally good and thus is valued as a foundation of a good moral being. In other words, it is a behavior that shows high moral standards: doing what is right and avoiding what is wrong. The opposite of virtue is vice.
