Serotonin-1a receptors inhibit postsynaptic neurons🧠
When serotonin binds to the postsynaptic serotonin-1a receptor, rather than stimulating it, it actually inhibits the next neuron. Postsynaptic-1a agonists quiet the postsynaptic neuron, giving them a rest.
